Set in 1968 against a backdrop of some of the greatest hits of the era, music is integral to this feel-good Aussie film that follows four young Aboriginal girls, ‘The Sapphires’, through a turbulent time in history.
Making it’s debut at the Cannes International film festival, The Sapphires received a standing ovation following a special Gala Screening. The only Australian feature film selected for this year’s festival.
