American country music duo Sugarland have reached a self-described creative rebirth with their fourth album, The Incredible Machine. Members Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush co-wrote and co-produced the album. Filled with soaring choruses and unforgettable guitars, this album marks a change in perspective, envisioning bigger and greater things while always referencing the symbolism of the album’s title, the human heart. Opener track All We Are begins the album with catchy fanfare and closing track Shine The Light is an awe-inspiring piano ballad. Stuck Like Glue conveys a fusion of pop music with country, with the accordion and mandolin mixed in to give it that Nashville taste.
The multi-talented Nettles describes their approach as being inspired by the fact that "country music is hip and young and fun and accessible … it's not necessarily about lifestyle, it's about having fun and being human."
