LP1 marks a new era in Joss Stone’s music. It is the first album Joss has recorded with total creative freedom, having released it through her own record label. She also co-wrote and co-produced it with super-producer and Eurythmics co-founder, Dave Stewart.
Together, Joss and Dave immersed themselves into a rock ‘n’ soul musical odyssey in Nashville, Tennessee, finishing LP1 in a mere six days.
Total creative freedom suits Joss. Without deviating too far away from her signature sound, LP1 showcases more passion and emotion, and is freewheeling. It veers towards a rock sound that revolves around the piano and a rawness seen in traditional blues, all entwined by Joss’ soulful voice.
