Following on from the success of her debut album Acoustically Yours, How Do I Tell Them is the long-awaited new album from Jane McNamee, one of Ireland’s finest female singers and a vocalist in The Whiskey River Band.
The title track, How Do I Tell Them, is Jane’s first venture into songwriting, which was motivated by the sudden tragic death of her brother. The album also includes well-known standards like Dreaming My Dreams With You and Don’t Let Me Cross Over (Loves Cheating Line), as well as the duet Comfort In A Song, an original song written and performed by Charlie McGettigan, and the single My Mama Told Me (Clapping Song).
Describing her singing style as ‘"folk, middle-of-the-road, blues and contemporary", Jane has been a long-time admirer of Crystal Gayle and, more recently, Imelda May. She's also strongly influenced by the singing of Mary Black and Maura O’Connell.
