The Arizona native's passion for exploring life and music burns brightly on his follow-up to Long Trip Alone.
In just a few short years, Dierks Bentley has gone from singing for tips in bars to country superstar. But he refuses to let success stifle his creative spirit. "I really wanted to change our initial approach to the recording process ... do it in more of a rock and roll, or an old outlaw kind of country way," he recalls.
As inspired by the stories and songs of old-timers like Hank Williams and Buck Owens as he is by edgier sounds, Dierks has tempered his free-and-easy side with greater reflection on life and love for Feel That Fire. From acknowledging a guy's need to cut loose on Sideways to the intimate I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes and the sultry Spanish groove of I Can't Forget Her, this memorable album represents another step on Dierks' incredible life journey. And as the star himself says, "The best music is made in the journey."
