Two of Australia's finest film talents, writer Jan Sardi (Shine) and director Bruce Beresford (Breaker Morant), join forces to take Chinese ballet dancer Li Cunxin's story from page to screen. With exhilarating dance sequences, and a dramatic arc that follows Li from a childhood of poverty to fame and freedom in the West, this is superb entertainment.
